Who is SoftVaro?
SoftVaro was born out of more than twenty years of experience in software sales, solution selling, and collaboration with procurement and IT leaders. This experience was gained at organisations such as Agile Software, Comparex, SoftwareONE and Computacenter.
Over all those years, we kept seeing the same structural blind spot: the procurement of Tier 2 & 3 software. Too small for strategic focus. Too large for clear oversight. Too costly to ignore.
SoftVaro was founded as an independent software dealmaker. Not as a reseller, but as a partner that operates entirely in the client’s best interest. We secure sharp, transparent deals and guide organisations from A to Z through the entire procurement and negotiation process — without unnecessary complexity or extra burden on internal teams.

Our focus: enterprise-ready from day one

SoftVaro was set up from the start as a mature, scalable organisation. Based on years of experience in enterprise software procurement and with the expertise of the investors behind SoftVaro, one principle was central: the operation must be reliable, controllable and future-proof from day one.

This approach was put into practice immediately. Our very first enterprise client was successfully onboarded within one month — which placed high demands on governance, compliance and operational maturity.

Today SoftVaro works with a specialised team entirely focused on software procurement. Permanent staff and long-term external specialists who work intensively and exclusively together as one integrated unit. The focus is deliberately at the front end: managing the client relationship, coordinating with the business and translating needs sharply into the most suitable licence and contract solutions.

Why the name SoftVaro?

SoftVaro is derived from Esperanto — an international language designed to connect people worldwide. This idea fits perfectly with our mission: making software accessible that is otherwise overlooked, hidden in the tail spend of enterprise organisations.

In Esperanto, SoftVaro literally means ‘software product’: made up of softa (soft) and varo (good/product). A recognisable, logical combination in a language known for simplicity, clarity and connection. These same qualities are central to how we operate.
